Residential Architecture | Custom Art | Prints

Lauren Hladky is the sole practitioner for LH Architecture. I received a Bachelor of Architecture from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma then spent 8 years working for a leading Dallas Architectural firm on the Education team during which time I became a licensed Architect and gained valuable experience in design, documentation, and construction administration. I left that firm to pursue full time motherhood. However, I couldn’t simply stop designing. The creation of LH Architecture has allowed me to focus on my family while also improving the lives of other families as they pursue construction of new homes and home renovations.

I love home design and I have been drawing for my entire life. While taking the train home from work every day, I would give myself random residential design challenges. Some sketches would be new build while others would be my own home to figure out new ways to configure spaces. I am so thankful for my husband who encouraged me to dive into residential work and take years of journaled ideas and turn them into reality.

Process. Design starts with an initial consultation. There we establish the “problem” : what works or doesn’t work at your current home and what do you hope to achieve by building new or renovating. I want to know how your family operates and how I can make the new spaces more efficient, functional, and beautiful for years to come. I then prepare a couple options to present you. This is in the form of floor plans, sketches, and simple renderings. From the options we continue to dialog and hone the design until you have a product you love. I then prepare the required architectural documents for construction.

Projects. I take on projects of all sizes. It can be a small bathroom redesign to a complete home gut-job to a large new build home. Each project type is a unique problem to solve and I love it all.
